Hold on! Clark Tower adding world’s longest fire pole

As part of a $23 million renovation to the Clark Tower office building in East Memphis, the world’s longest fire pole is being installed in 2022. Visitors will soon be able to slide down 34 floors on the building’s newest and most ambitious feature to date.

“We’re always looking for that competitive edge,” said Solomon Sanders, a spokesperson for the local real estate and investment company that owns the Clark Tower (yes, I could have googled “Who owns the Clark Tower in Memphis?” but our internet at the MM offices has been spotty this morning… can’t you just look that up yourself?). “We think this innovative new attraction will make our property a more desirable spot for businesses that are more and more often being owned by millennials and Gen X or Z’ers.”
